Getting ready

I run a comb through my hair
To hide the mess under there
Tightly button up my heart
So it doesn't fall apart,
Rub a smile on my lips,
Put a swish on my hips,
Dry my nose, shine my eyes,
Add a tune to my sighs,
Blow some air in each lung,
Spread sweet lies on my tongue,
Wipe the frown from my brow
I think now I'm good to go.
All's still quite hazy and blurred
But I'm ready for you, world!
